The Channel Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting marketing communication and retail marketing projects for various brands and categories being sold through mass-market & specialty retail, online, and reseller channels both B2B and B2C. Specific functions include channel partner support, collateral, online, direct and sell-through marketing, channel and retail-company-specific tradeshows & events. Working with the Marketing and Sales team, and external vendors, the Channel Marketing Specialist projects support demand generation, sell-through, and marketing across all channel partners and internal TargetPath marketing initiatives.



  • Channel Partner Support

o   Sales resources (custom presentations, sales collateral, launch and product assets)

o   Merchandising

– Aid execution of detailed merchandising plan with partners to maximize brand exposure

–  Aid in development of various in-store POP displays

–  Aid in POP sourcing including suppliers, end-product, and schedules

o   New product launch materials and updates

–  Develop / maintain selling tools

–  Audit product marketing sheets

o   Create internal trackers for channel activities per channel or partner

  • Collateral

o   Maintain & update partner-specific collateral

o   Manage print collateral including business cards, inventory & print runs, as needed, for internal and channel partners within budget

o   Manage SWAG orders as needed for internal and channel partners within budget

  • Channel Partner Events

o   Provide pre-event support for shows & events, including preparing event orders, literature, SWAG & partner seeding kits, shipping and ensuring on-time delivery of materials

  • Web & Online

o   Aid online marketing projects, including email campaigns, product launches, keyword based search advertising and social media efforts with partners

o   Asset toolkit build outs for partners to utilize on their own web pages

o   Collateral management for external partners

o   Build sheet management for partner item setup

o   Audit and work to fix minor grammar, brand or imaging issues with partner detail pages

o   Aid in product listing optimization of partner detail pages

o   Maintain and edit the TargetPath website

  • Edit and Create material for channel partners

o   Including all material used on display in retail stores

o   Including all material shown and communicated to channel partners, from executives to the sale teams

  • General administrative assistance to the channel marketing and sales team



  • May be responsible for creating image copy through various graphics programs
  • May complete desktop publishing assignments including email communications, bulletins, HTMLs etc.
  • May provide additional editing support for MarCom and sales activities



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience and education required
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in a Marketing Specialist role required, with prior experience in either channel/retail, brand or MarCom, preferably with a lifestyle or CE brand.
  • Retail/Sales Floor experience in CE, Fashion or Consumer goods
  • Willingness and ability to work within fast-paced environment, and to be self-sufficient while acknowledging the benefit of the larger team
  • Prior successful experience working with external parties (vendors, resellers, end users) to manage and maintain strong relationships required
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly-organized and timely in the completion of work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to create internal processes
  • Demonstrated superior written communications skills, from writing to editing, required
  • High-energy individual, willing to learn, and take on new tasks as assigned
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft office programs in Windows, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
  • Knowledge of PhotoShop, Illustrator and InDesign preferred.
  • Digital experience a plus – including social media, email communication, marketing automation and eCommerce



  • Ability and willingness to travel (up to 25%)
  • Ability and willingness to work nights or weekends for tradeshows or events
